SCORING SYSTEM FOR 2012 SHORT COURSE EVENTS

The racer with the lowest finishing positions in all three motos will win for the day.

 

Finishing positions are calculated as follows: 

finishing position points PLUS the number of laps missed.

 

Example:

 ·         Racer #1 receives 1st in all three motos and completes all laps: 

         1+1+1 = 3 PLUS 0 missed laps = 3 (your score for the day)

 

 ·         Racer #2 receives 4th in the first moto, 8th in the second moto and 2nd in the third moto but only completes 15 out of 16 laps:

         4+8+2 = 14 PLUS 1 missed laps = 15 (your score for the day)  

 

If there is a tie in the points, the racer with the best finishing score in the third moto wins. 

 

Example: 

·         Racer #1 receives 3rd in the first moto, 2nd in the second moto & 1st in the third moto with no missed laps.  Score = 6

·         Racer #2 receives 2nd in the first moto, 1st in the second moto & 3rd in the third moto with no missed laps.  Score = 6

·         Tie breaker is decided by the third moto:  Since Racer #1 finished ahead of Racer #2, Racer #1 wins.
