SPECTATORS Spectator Rules

Safety is an extremely important aspect of off-road racing, and spectators must be keenly aware of themselves and their surroundings when attending VORRA sanctioned events.  We have outlined a few guidelines to follow in order to make the most of your experience:

SHORT COURSE EVENTS

  • Spectators must park in designated areas and allow for an open lane of travel on all access roads.  Tailgating areas may be assigned by VORRA staff.
  • Spectators are allowed to enter pit areas but are encouraged to use extreme caution.  Children should be directly supervised and pets are discouraged from this area.
  • Bleachers are provided in approved viewing areas, and standing is allowed outside of track barriers.  At no time are spectators allowed inside the track area while an event is taking place.

DESERT EVENTS

  • Spectators must travel on established or designated routes to transit to start and approved viewing areas.  Spectators are prohibited from entering designated pit or course areas, as well as from traveling on the race course at any time during an event.
  • Spectators shall be directed to park on one side of the road to allow for an open travel lane in case of emergencies.  Avoid parking vehicles on brush or grass.
  • Spectators are required to maintain a minimum of 150 feet from the race course unless allowed in a designated spectator area determined to be safe from race vehicles.
  • Motorcycle and OHV free-play are prohibited in conjunction with and throughout the conduct of the event.
