Unlike most old guys that used to race back when dinosauers roamed the Earth, I don't know everything. We didn't have turning brakes way back when. I've got them in my car and the only advice I've been given so far is (A) Get rid of them and (B)g tap the brakes and mash the accelerator and yank the turning brake.

If any of you have experience with these things, kindly let this old man know something about using them (or not).

B--Mash the brakes to get the car to the speed that will make the turn, grab a handful of turning brake and a foot full of throttle!

Also can be used in the desert. If you get stuck with an open diff the wheel with the least resistance will spin, that's usually not the wheel stuck, lock that wheel with the turning brake to transfer power to the other wheel. Unfortunately non of my cars ever had brakes so this never worked for me.

In trucks with a locked rear diff we don't have that luxury. One thing I missed about racing buggies.
